AMICO Retrofit Recessed LED Lights
Out of all the recessed lights I’ve worked with, I’ve found the AMICO retrofit lights to be one of the best options for homeowners. They help reduce air leakage and improve efficiency. They install easily into most existing 5″ and 6″ recessed cans, provide clean bright lighting, and let you choose from 5 different color temperatures in one light to match your home perfectly. Great for upgrading older recessed lights while reducing air leakage and improving appearance.
High-Airflow Supply Vents (3 Tiers)
Through years of working in homes and checking airflow room-by-room, I’ve noticed that many supply vents significantly restrict airflow coming from the HVAC system. Homeowners often focus on the AC unit itself, but the vent cover also impacts how efficiently air moves into the room. Homes using higher-airflow vent designs tend to deliver air more evenly, improve room comfort, and reduce airflow restriction at the vent.
Sizing tip: Make sure to select the right size vent. To get the right size, take the vent down and measure the opening of the supply boot.
Soffit Vents & Installation Hex Screws
These soffit vents are the same ones we use on our jobs to help improve intake airflow in your attic. We’ve found that most homes need roughly 1% of attic square footage in net free area — so a 2,000 sq. ft. attic space would need about twenty 16×8 soffit vents. We’ve also listed the hex screws we use to install them — preferred for easy removal later if you ever need to do an attic clean-out.
Attic Ladder Tent Cover
An easy-to-install cover that seals the gap around your attic ladder — one of the most common air-leak points in a home.
Purpose
- Insulation barrier — helps seal the gap around the attic ladder, preventing heat transfer between the attic and the living space.
- Air-leak prevention — reduces drafts and air leakage, maintaining consistent indoor temperatures.
- Dust & debris protection — keeps dust, allergens, and debris from the attic out of your living space.
Benefits
- Energy efficiency — reduces heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, helping lower energy bills.
- Enhanced comfort — minimizes drafts, making your home more comfortable year-round.
- Improved indoor air quality — blocks insulation particles and attic dust from entering the home.
- Easy install & access — most covers install quickly and still allow easy attic access without breaking the seal.
