I am so glad I went with this company for my home energy audit. I had never had one done before, but I wish I had done it sooner. Zach was very helpful and walked me through the whole process and explained everything. Their communication was great from when I initially requested an appointment to day of appointment. They were able to immediately find what the energy issues were and offer solutions with their full report. I will definitely be contacting them for any future services!

I recently used ACT Home Energy Specialists to insulate my attic and Id really like express how much I appreciated how professional and helpful they were! Instead of trying to sell me on all kinds of various things they provided cost efficient solutions and options! I was surprised and cannot thank them enough! I just got my first electric bill and Ive already saved about $100. Zach and his team were very quick and left absolutely no mess. We have a house that was built in the 1960s, and is extremely poorly insulated. The house was remodeled prior to us moving in, and the AC system/duct work and insulation was poorly done so that we couldnt keep our house cool during the summer. I reached out to Zach, the owner, requesting an energy audit. I requested an energy audit, along with a blower test. Zach, was so easy to work with and asked for more information to assure the blower test was necessary, which I appreciated since it was an additional charge. I was very adamant about the blower test since I was so fed up with the high temperatures in our second story. Zach squeezed us into his busy schedule and ran the audit for us. He then sent us a written detailed report that night prioritizing things that will create an immediate impact, along with simple things we can preform ourselves. Because I couldnt be there at the time of the audit, he let my wife know I could call him later that night for questions. This was after business hours, which I thought was very kind and accommodating. Because of the excellent service up to that point, I decided this was the company I would want to do additional work for us. The next morning he sent me a a very competitively priced quote, and I didn't hesitate to sign it. Once, signed he called me to set a date and time. At the day of service he arrived on time and sent a reminder the day before and 1 hour prior to the time. Zach, and his coworker Conner (also extremely nice) preformed their work quickly and took pride in it. They went over and beyond, and even preformed additional things because they believed it was the right thing to do. Ive never had someone work on my house with so much integrity. Once finished they cleaned up everything and even vacuumed the majority of the upstairs, even In places they didnt work. Again, Ive never had people work on my house with so much integrity and left it better than it was before. Right now, I am writing this 12 hours after the service. Our upstairs is finally the same temperature as the down stairs and there isnt a 20 degree difference like usual. On top of that, our AC is finally having rest periods and not running for 8 hours straight. I highly recommend these guys not only for their work, but they are phenomenal human-beings that want to do the right thing.

Tremendous experience. Every step in the process was perfect. All appointments were on time and every item was discussed professionally and reasonable rates were given with each option. Highly recommend. We could tell a difference within hours of the work being performed and the upgrade to our system will pay for itself quickly.

Great team to work with! Started off with great communication from my phone call into them all the way through confirming the appointment time the day before and arrival time day of service. The team was very friendly and knowledgeable. They walked our home and showed us numerous places where we have easily fixable energy leaks that we can address ourselves without hiring contractors. Also reviewed our energy bill to see if we were paying an acceptable rate. Honest guys and would highly recommend and hire again if needed.

Best installers! Zach very knowledgable on home construction; reviewed every inch of the attic and pointed out some deficits that he took care of for me. Answered all my questions so I was knowledgable on all aspects. Accessed my attic thru a front window and were very careful to protect window frames and flooring. I was having big problems keeping my home warm and scheduled a home energy audit with ACT. Zach and Collin were extremely thorough in locating air leaks throughout my home. Zach provided detailed list of their recommended repairs. Some of the improvements I was able to do myself such as caulking and adding insulation pads to outlets. I recently purchased a house and my energy bills were a little high so I reached out to Zach at ACT to see if he could help. I got his information from a friend that had used ACT before and and was very happy with their work. The project started with an in-person inspection and quote. Zach is very knowledgeable and walked me through the entire process. Him and his team re-did the attic insulation, sealed AC return leaks, opened up/re-did the soffit vents, and installed an attic ladder tent cover. I'm very happy with the work Zach and his team did. I will definitely reach out to them again for future home energy issues. They are highly recommended!

*6 month after install review* insulation is still kicking and have seen significant improvements in indoor HVAC performance and billing. Ricky installed insulation in an old attic that was nearly empty on insulation. He also replaced multiple ducts and sealed the air handler and return. Starting with the initial consultation, Ricky was informative, knowledgeable, upfront, and communicative. Scheduled install 2 weeks after consultation and was done in a morning! Ricky went above and beyond by giving additional homeowner tricks and yearly cleanings that I could do to improve performance of unit.

Ricky was great, very professional and trustworthy. Did the audit on Monday and was back on Wednesday to do some repairs. Highly recommend!

Recently had Ricky come out and originally just needed insulation. But when he came out to give me my quote he noticed my HVAC was not sealed properly and told me hed fix it. He was punctual and fixed the HVAC and got my insulation up to code before noon. Great work and customer service. 10/10 recommend.

I have a newer home that was not properly insulated by the original builder. ACT came out and came up with a plan to improve the energy efficiency of my home. Rick was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what it would take to fix all of my problems. They did a great job installing my new insulation and sealing all of my vents. I cant wait to be warm this winter!

I can't recommend these guys enough. Extremely professional, no BS, no up charges, and HARD workers. The new insulation helped drop the temperature in my hottest rooms by about 4 degrees. It also helps keep the rooms cooler for longer after the A/C runs. Worth every penny.

Ricky saved the day! Recently had a roof leak and had water coming into the attic. I knew I had wet insulation that needed to be removed quickly. Ricky was able to come the same day and got all of my wet insulation removed!!! My attic is very small and tight. Ricky and one of his workers made quick and easy work of it. ACT Home Energy added insulation in the attic which had exposed beams. They also added a duct to one of the rooms that was not getting enough airflow and sealed air leaks in the system. A solar attic fan was added to pull heat out of the attic. It was 102 degrees outside when I got home from work and I noticed the difference immediately through the entire house. Ricky kept me updated throughout the day with before and after photos. They did a great job!

I waited a while before leaving a review to verify that the work done had the desired effect, and I can say that it has. I called Ricky because I was concerned that my AC would run and the temperature in the house would not change for hours on end in the summer afternoons. Ricky came and did an assessment of my attic space and soffits around the house. He said while I did need more insulation, which I knew, I had a ventilation problem. We discovered that when the house was built, they cut only the smallest opening for the vents, as evidenced in the pictures. You can see the size of the old vents, and the vents that Ricky installed. Ricky came up with a plan to expand many of the existing vents to the larger size they use, add additional vents, air seal around the biggest leak areas such as recessed lights, AC ducts, and exhaust fans. He also recommended an exhaust fan for the attic as well as the insulation I needed. They showed up on time, worked quickly but accurately, and asked for my direction when they had options of where to put additional vents. Once they were finished, we reviewed everything so I was satisfied. The clean up after they were done was wonderful as well. The work has had the desired outcome, as my AC runs about 3-4 hours fewer over the course of a day now, even this summer, according to my thermostat. I will definitely call them again should my next house need similar work.

Ricky and his team were great. As an owner/operator he personally checked out the job(more thoroughly than the competition) and bid it at a reasonable amount. He then did the work as well. #Respect We have a 1949 house that has a good A/C system that just wasn't able to keep up in the summer. We would go to bed at 11pm and it would still be 78 in the house! Having almost no insulation in the attic didn't help that... ACT fixed that for us. We could tell the difference the same day. About a week later I've looked back at our Nest thermostat history and the A/C runs 5 hours less on average everyday. I'm sure that will save me thousands over the years. Would recommend.

Rick and his crew were amazing from start to finish. We used him to reinsulate our attic and test thr efficiency or our existing duct work. His response times were excellent whether it was coming to provide a quote and the turnaround to complete the project. His knowledge about the insulation and the factors that most impact the energy efficiency was invaluable. He knows what works and what doesn't which means he doesn't attempt to sell unnecessary services/equipment as the other companies we had quote our job did. I would (and do) recommend ACT for anybody who is considering this type of project.

The snowpacalypse in February 2021 highlighted how poorly weather sealed our home was. After some searching online I found ACT and called. Ricky got me on his schedule for an energy audit where he located areas all around the house that needed improvement. He came out a couple weeks later to do the work. The climate inside has improved immensely. There are no more drafts or uncomfortable spots anymore. We havent had to run the HVAC yet due to the mild weather but I know when we do the newly installed insulation and newly sealed doors and windows will help the systems work more efficiently. I havent even seen any bugs inside lately which indicates how weather tight the house is. This is a must do if you have an older house with uncomfortable rooms (really hot or cold in extreme weather) and high electric bills.
